The following introduction, from the top of page 3 of
this opinion, sounds a little more like something you'd see in a work of fiction (or perhaps
by Justice Kavanaugh) than in the statement of facts of a Court of Appeal opinion:
"Lions was about to enjoy an afternoon beer
outside . . . ."
The line just struck me as funny. "Enjoying an afternoon beer." I get it. Sounds like Justice Dato does as well.
